As soon as Christmas and Valentine’s Day are over, the kids start asking about the Easter Bunny. I have to admit, I also love Easter: the beautiful sunrise church service, the newness of spring in the air, the soothing pastel colors and the most delicious chocolate treats, what is there not to love about Easter. We have a lot of fun traditions in our family for Easter, my favorite is making Easter baskets for the boys. Our kids do not get anything big, but a well-thought-out basket with small meaningful toys are a sure hit on Easter morning. In other words “LEGO Easter baskets” are all the rage in our house!

Give an Awesome LEGO Easter Basket

It is not going to come as a surprise to anyone when I tell you that this year’s theme is LEGO. If memory serves me correctly, it was also the theme last year, the year before and…. the year before that! Check out some of the super cute and fun LEGO themed ideas I found – there is something for LEGO fans of all ages!

[bctt tweet=”Give the most AWESOME #LEGO themed #EasterBasket this year! Everything you need is right here! “]

Instead of using the same wicker basket, year after year, try these fun and functional Easter Basket alternatives!

Easter “baskets”:

LEGO Storage Head (This is a statement piece. We love ours)

We used this Storage Head in our LEGO themed bathroom.

Lay-n-Go Lite Small Activity Mat & Toy Organizer. (Image, no more stepping on LEGO!)

LEGO Storage Brick (These complete any LEGO themed room. We have several in different colors.

LEGO Fun, Something for All Ages:

LEGO Set Painting Easter Eggs

“Painting Easter Eggs” LEGO set  (I love the fun story and details in this set! The chicken and eggs are awesome!)

Building bricks and minifigure molds (Make your own crayons or candy for their baskets using these molds!)

LEGO Chima Laval Torch and Nightlight (What kid doesn’t love a nightlight?!)

LEGO Minecraft The Cave (Can’t you hear their squeal of happiness when they get this?!)

LEGO Technic Twin-Rotor Helicopter Model Kit (I love the Technic sets for our boys, and myself!)

LEGO Juniors 10674 Pony Farm (LEGO Juniors is such a great transition from DUPLO to LEGO. Perfect for pony lovers!)

LEGO DUPLO Creative Ice Cream (This is a HUGE hit in our house with our toddler and preschooler!)

LEGO Soccer Watch with Minifigure (This is the cutest watch that any soccer player would be excited to wear!)

LEGO Little Boys’ Career Opportunities T-Shirt (Every LEGO fan loves the minifigures, especially minifigures on shirts!)

Belkin LEGO Case iPhone (Be the cool parent on the “block” with this iPhone cover – I know I would REALLY like one!)

LEGO Books:

LEGO Play Book: Ideas to Bring Your Bricks (Our boys enjoy hours of entertainment from this book! Beautiful pictures and inspiration!)

LEGO Crazy Action Contraptions Kit (Expand your LEGO lovers building power and imagination!)

LEGO Star Wars Sticker Book

LEGO Friends Sticker Book

LEGO Star Wars Character Encyclopedia

LEGO City: Follow That Easter Egg!

I try to avoid giving cheap trinkets that easily break, and instead spend the money on things that last and provide entertainment for hours – which in our family of course means MORE LEGO!

Legos are everybody’s favorite toy in our house. From our youngest one, all the way to Daddy. Even grandpa was caught one time playing with Legos.
