This weekend I was picking out the kids’ “first day” outfits, when all of a sudden it hit me: “UNDERWEAR!”! I forgot to buy the kids new, fresh, crisp, clean underwear! Of course new underwear isn’t on the supply list provided by the school, but I always use “back to school” shopping as an excuse to replenish their pile of superhero briefs. But this year – I have no excuse, I just plain forgot! Where do mommies shop when Target is closed? Amazon Prime – of course – because when little boys need underwear they need them STAT!

Thank you amazon, for not letting my kids go commando

I placed my order and then waited for my speedy two-day delivery… but nothing… tumbleweeds were blowing through the streets… no delivery in sight. But fear not! Our kids will NOT have to “go commando” thanks to the swift action of an amazing Amazon Agent! I contacted Amazon’s customer service today – and following is my rather funny exchange with Amazon’s awesome Agent Jeimy!

[bctt tweet=”Thank you @Amazon for not letting my kids go “commando”! #AmazonHasYouCovered “]

Amazon Customer Service Chat:

You are now connected to Jeimy from Amazon.com

Me: Please help me! I have two orders that were shipped together – they were supposed to be there on the 18th and I still don’t have them. Please let me know the status as I need the items.

Jeimy: Hello, my name is Jeimy. I’m here to help you today Tove!! Oh I’m really sorry you haven’t receive these orders yet! I will definitely take a look on this to check what happened and find the best solution for you, no worries at all

Me: Thank you – my kids need their underwear! ha ha ha

Jeimy: By any chance do you have the order numbers so I can check on it? Oh I got it, this is Super important!!

Me: Order # xxx-xxxxxxx-xxxxxxx, that’s one of them

Jeimy: okay found them! it was going to be delivered with 2 Trimfit Boys Dinosaur Sports Camo Briefs, right?

Me: yes

Jeimy: okay let me check what happened here!

Me: some UPS driver needed underwear?! LOL

Our kids will NOT have to go commando - thanks to Amazon

Jeimy: HAHAHAHAHA it seems someone else Tove, because I have here these orders were lost in transit! I’m really sorry they were never delivered, usually this does not happened and I will make sure to report this. Let me solve this for you right away and send you both orders again, I will make sure to expedite it for you and your kids. Would that work for you Tove ?

Me: Thank you so much that would be great! That’s what I get for ordering cool underwear for my kids. I was going to pick the ones with the days of the week, but my husband said they were too childish… always go with the childish underwear – no one wants to take those. Can my account get some “sorry your kids had to wear their old underwear on their first day of school” credit?

Jeimy: How old are they Tove ? Because I used the days of the week underwear like 20 years ago hahaha. I just created both replacements, they will be delivered tomorrow 🙂

Me: The underwear or the kids?

Jeimy: and well, we don’t have that credit however I can issue a $5 promo for “cool Amazon Agent who understands lost cool underwear” would that work for you?

Me: the kids are 6 and 8… Yes – thank you! I am a blogger too… so I will be sure to let the world now that you were very understanding of our desperate need of new underwear! Social media loves that kind of understanding.

Jeimy: Ohhhh I remember that age… it was a looong time ago (like the Titanic lady “it was 84 years ago”)! And great! $5 promo issued on your account!! it will be automatically applied for your next order for items sold by amazon too! Please make sure to add “super cool sexy lovely cute amazon agent” hahahaha! Tove I hope I was able to assist you and I took care of this situation to your satisfaction 🙂 are we set now?

Me: we are all set! Thank you! Enjoy your day… (remember to wear the ones that say “Friday” tomorrow)

Jeimy: hahahaha I will need to order them from Amazon! Tove You’re welcome! It was a pleasure talking with you! Have an amazing Thursday!

And THAT my friends is awesome customer service. A little personality goes a long way!

If you are not currently an Amazon Prime member, check it out free for 30 days! My favorite member benefit is the free two-day shipping. It works perfectly – except when you buy totally cool underwear!

Little known Amazon Prime fact: you can invite up to four “family members” to join your Amazon Prime membership at no additional cost. Your “relatives” will also benefit from the free two-day shipping! How cool is that?!

What is your favorite Amazon Prime perk?

haha that is hysterical! I love Amazon Prime!
I just got a Kindle Fire HD7, on Prime Day!, and was able to share “households” with my old Kindle and Amazon account; and not lose any of my one million books (romance novels … hehe)
