I am thrilled to work with Happy Family Brands on this review. They generously provided me with the toddler food to review – and you can enter to win the same prize pack – which i strongly encourage you to do! The opinions stated are largely Jonah’s – and a small part mine!
As a mother who exclusively breastfeeds until my baby is 6 months old, it has always been so hard for me to transition the baby to regular food. I feel the baby has been so pure up until that point and then all of a sudden we will fill their little bodies with food we have little to no control over. I would be the mom to make my own baby food, but with a full time office job, four kids and just life in general, there is not enough hours in a day. But thankfully there are healthy and nutrition filled alternatives for mothers who are on-the-go and short on time (in other words: “all moms”).
My favorite organic baby and toddler food is made by Happy Family Brand. Their list of ingredients includes some of the world’s greatest super foods and their delicious creations are minimally processed. I know their foods and snacks are tasty because I had to try these creations before I fed them to Jonah and Jansen.
Both of our little boys are great eaters without the usual toddler pickiness. I attribute their welcoming-palettes to the wide array of flavors, textures and colors they have experienced at meal time from the first time I started feeding them solids. Happy Family Brands has a comprehensive selection of foods and snacks that exposes our little eaters to new, exciting and healthy alternatives to the usual “toddler approved foods.”
Jonah just turned one. He normally eats what I am eating, but as a supplement to his finger foods he also gets the pouches from HappyTot. I don’t let him eat directly from the pouch, I always put it on a spoon and we take turns in trying to get food in his mouth. I am MUCH more successful than he is – but then again, I have an unfair advantage for 40 years over him!
As snacks or mama-I-am-hungry-NOW foods he absolutely loves to texture and taste of the rice cakes. Jansen (3) noticed Jonah’s bright purple rice cakes with blueberry and beet flavors (and coloring) immediately – they were hard to miss though. Jansen loves them as much as Jonah does.
The HappyCreamies and Happy Yogis are fun little morsels of flavor filled snacks. Their size provides a perfect fine-motor-skill exercise, and they are as perfect for the pincher-grab as they are delicious.
The two younger boys enjoy their Happy Family Brand foods. As a mother who has to rely on store bought baby and toddler food, I am so relieved and thrilled to know that I can still provide my babies healthy and organic food selections.
